In line with its aim of achieving greater autonomy for people with intellectual disability, TEB Habitatge has completed the first phase of work to renovate two homes in the historic Casa Bloc building in Sant Andreu.

These homes, which were allocated to the residential home service six months ago, will house people with a home support service and also meet requirements for urgent temporary accommodation for members of the TEB Cooperative Group and users of its services. A total of 12 people will benefit from this new space.

Casa Bloc is a building dating from the 30s, listed as being of historical and architectural interest and a landmark in the neighbourhood of Sant Andreu and in the city of Barcelona in general.

The renovation work was supported by the Regional Infrastructure Programme (PIR), part of the framework for institutional cooperation between FEAPS (Dincat in Catalonia) and the ONCE Foundation. The aim of the PIR is to carry out investment projects, primarily to create infrastructure and facilities for direct care services for people with disability.
