A total of 117 athletes and 24 volunteers from TEB clubs will participate in the 2018 Special Olympics Games, which will take place from October 4 to 7 in La Seu d’Urgell (Spain) – Andorra with the motto “Better are those who try it”. The Games, born in 1988 and now in its 11th edition, are the most important sporting and awareness-raising event for people with intellectual disabilities.

In addition to competing in disciplines as diverse as cycling, swimming, hockey or ping-pong, TEB athletes will enjoy intense days of coexistence and the company of more than 1,500 athletes from 13 different countries. They will also be able to enjoy such emblematic events as the inaugural ceremony, health and leisure programs and the closing ceremony.

Inclusion through sport

The TEB Cooperative Group has intensively promoted sports from its beginnings as the best way to promote relationships, self-esteem and health, as well as to show capabilities and transform society.

Currently, the Group has three sports clubs that offer a total of 12 different disciplines to 180 athletes.
